2008 / Le Grande Boucherie / Exhibition with Le Grand Crew
We held it at Villanuts, a gallery converted from an old butchers, located in the Hague.
We all made a separate poster to advertise the show - the above was mine. It was half drawn in ink and half made from a paper cutting.. with a meat mincer churning out wormy, bloody letters. The following images show some of the work I made for the show.

2007 / Infact Boekje Contributions to a campaign booklet made by Studio Lava
Whilst at Lava I was given the opportunity to contribute images, text and ideas to an HIV/AIDS awareness campaign the studio did for Mainline, Amsterdam. These are a few of my spreads from the campaign booklet (layout design by Jeroen Disch, Lava). The above illustration tells the story of an Indian woman facing the stigma of having HIV.

The above post-it note map illustration ties in with another part of the campaign, in which post-its displaying a web address were stuck around the city.
The above is an article about Chinese AIDS-awareness activists.

2007 / You Make It / Final Major Project
My final major project at Camberwell college was composed of books and prints about public halls, and the diverse gatherings held within.
This is a book about a children’s holiday club. A paper model room I made was the base for a variety of different scenes inspired by stories of the past ten years at the holiday club. The model-making theme of the book suggested the potential to be creative at the club – the experience would be whatever the children made of it.

2007 / A Third Place / Final Major Project

My final major project at Camberwell was composed of books and prints about public halls, and the diverse gatherings held within.
This photo accompanied an article about a storytelling club. They held an evening telling tales of the sea, and later I returned to the hall with a sea cut from paper.

2007 / Neon / A college Project

The above is a poster displaying an alphabet I made from neon letters viewed at unintended angles. After a trip to Las Vegas,I wanted to do a project about the ability of neon to dazzle and confuse rather than communicate.
This alphabet was featured in a lecture on new typography by Gary Mouat at Chelsea college (UAL), 2006.
Below: screenprints based on the alphabet I designed.I was experimenting with using patterns of dots to depict glowing light - like the dots I had seen bordering letters in some medieval illuminated manuscripts.
